Site preparation, installation and monitoring of a 4-hectare grassland habitat mitigation. A tractor with a boom sprayer was used to spray existing vegetation with herbicides. With the use of a Brillion seeder as well as hand seeding, a grassland seed mix was installed. For several years to follow, spot treatment on invasive phragmites, Canada goldenrod and other weed species took place until establishment. |
