Located in Ayr, Ontario, Quiet Nature is a multiple award-winning landscape design and construction firm focused on the creation of sustainable landscape solutions, ecological restoration projects, water features, natural swim ponds, natural stonework, and walkways & patios.

If you love working with your hands, getting a bit dirty, and want to take pride in creating special places for outstanding clients, then you've come to the right place.

 


Landscape Professional - Crew Leader ($970 - $1,650 gross/week)

 

We're looking for a well rounded Landscape Construction Foreman/Crew Leader with a minimum of 5 years experience in the industry (preferably more) where you've been the lead on projects both small and large building patios, retaining walls, walkways, and other landscape features.

At Quiet Nature, you'll be responsible for overseeing all on-site aspects of our landscape installations with your positive attitude and great problem-solving abilities. You have excellent communication skills, demand high-quality work from yourself and your co-workers, and know how to take good care of our clients and their properties.

We like to use technology and equipment to manage and build our projects, so being comfortable with smartphones, tablets, excavation equipment, and other specialty tools that make life easier is very important.


Landscape Professional - Lead Hands, Crew Members & Aspiring Craftsmen ($750 - $1200 gross/week)

 

A Quiet Nature Crew Member is responsible for performing a variety of work tasks in order to assist with the completion of landscape construction projects and will operate different tools and specialty pieces of equipment to get things done. You'll have a budding passion for building beautiful, unique spaces and a willingness to learn, grow, push yourself, and generally change the world (or at least the private world of our clients). 

You may be coming to us with zero experience in the industry but an interest in learning something new, working hard, and getting in shape while you do it. Or, you may have a few years experience in the landscape world with a general sense of what you like and don't like building, and a desire to start honing your specialty and perfecting your craft.  

 

 


Contract Planting Technician ($700 - 1100 gross/week)

 

Quiet Nature’s Naturalization division works alongside other trades and general contractors to enhance, restore, and create natural spaces. Our projects include; naturalizing stormwater ponds, planting trees in residential and commercial areas, creating meadow and prairie habitat, woodlot enhancement on rural properties, and building natural playgrounds. A Contract Planting Technician may also be asked to assist with the maintenance and operation of our native plant nursery, and assist our Landscape Construction and Garden Maintenance crews. You're a nature-loving’ people person who enjoys working on a fabulous team. You have a relentless drive and a keen ability to focus and stay motivated. You thrive under pressure, are excited by a challenge and the opportunity to learn new skills. Your main responsibility is planting trees and shrubs.

 

Duration: A Contract Planting Technician would be brought in on an as-needed basis for the duration of scheduled Naturalization projects. An excellent opportunity for someone with part-time, short-term, or seasonal availability.

  • Ability to report directly to job sites in various locations, and/or carpool from our shop located in Ayr, On
  • Steel Toe work boots/shoes
  • Physically active
  • Positive attitude and a good sense of humour

  • Driving large trucks and trailers

  • Skid Steer and Mini Ex Operation
  • Lead hand/supervisor experience
  • Landscape construction experience
  • An expert storyteller who never messes up a punchline
