2010 Landscape Ontario Award of Excellence

Quiet Nature wins prestigious Landscape Ontario Award for unique water feature project.

Quiet Nature was approached by a clients who had sold their cottage the previous year, and were hoping to re-create a northern escape in their backyard.

Several elements contributed to the challenge of this project:  access to the yard was restricted to an eight foot gate;  a septic tank and bed were located directly in the construction zone; and, numerous existing drainage issues were present.

Quite Nature accepted the challenge and delivered an award winning design that included a naturalistic pond with 30 foot stream, stone slab bridge, waterfall, pebble beach and pond-side flagstone patio.

Carefully planned site lines afforded views of pond and stream from the living room, patio, and outdoor kitchen.  We’re proud of this landscape design and the transformation of this backyard into a stunning assimilation of water, rock and greenery.
